Week 6, or “Keep it simple…do something good, kill some guys, work hard”-Shoresy

This is what is preached in every fantasy locker room across the world. Do something (waivers, trades roster churn), kill some guys (the league takes care of this one), work hard (put your best team out there, look at the matchups, make the hard decisions). Will this work? Maybe. Maybe not. The FFL gods are fickle and they give and take away whenever they want. But you can do your best to be prepared and always , always, always pray to dear sweet Shiva to look down on you favorably. (Rumor is Big Diesel has built an entire shrine to our lady of FFL. Guess we will see how that works out)

And it didn’t…. Pigg walks away with another dub and Diesel made another appointment at his fantasy therapists office.143-122 final. Chuba, CMC and Metcalf showed up. Mahomie wasn’t good and BD’s bench looked like a FFL Mash unit. Pigg was solid at almost every position which a big 28 from Nabors. Good win, painful loss.

diesel’s bench. League takes care of the “kill some guys”

139-118. LO continues on her hot streak and the Commish continues to go up and down weekly. LO was dominate, again, with JSN, Cook and Swift all in the 20’s and 37 from the special teams. DFUN countered with Bijan 7, Warren 9, Boston 2 and GWill 8. You just aren’t beating LO right now when your studs don’t show up. Good news was 20 from KC and 17 at K! But everybody needs to work hard to get a W, not just ST/DEF.

In a battle between a country boy who moved to the big taking on a city boy who moved out to the country. You would think these two would be friends. You would be wrong. FFL glory is what they both crave and only one can get it! 121-104 final score, but who? Sunshine 27, KW9 27, Puka 14. Or Caleb 16, Pollard 7 and PWash 10. Easy W for the Ceiling Cats. This brave writer tried to make this heated rivalry an exciting, nail biting story to have you, the reader, at the edge of your seat. But it just wasn’t even close. another easy win for the kittens and another terrrrrible loss for the Dominator.

And now to the Game of the Week!!!

AintReba, mostly known for smack talk, roster churning and the worst draft in the history of fantasy football took on the reigning Champ, the man, the myth, the FFL legend, TBIAC. Vegas odds on this game were TBIAC -21 with an over under of 251 (151 for the Capt and mayyyybe Reba could get 100). Instead the musically inclined owner scored 104!!! Superman 18, CeeDee 16, Davonte 20, Kittle 17 and 1, yup, 1, from her second round draft pick Aubrey. So now TBIAC only has to score 147 to cover! But he didn’t. King Henry 5, Nico 10, and Lloyd 1. Maye tossed for 23, Golden caught 22 but it wasn’t enough to win the easiest victory of the week. 104-101. That has to sting a bit for the Capt.😂.

So week 6 is over, lessons were learned, victories were fought for and many players “got killed”. Plenty of weeks left to rise or to fall. Keep working hard and do something good next week, in This is Serious Business FFL!!
