Welcome to week 4, one quarter of the way through season 14 of “This is Serious Business”!! Some teams are starting to separate from the others and the question for us all is…do they love to win or do they hate to lose?” Are they fighting hard and losing tough games (Nizzle and Pigg), is their team horribly flawed by the worst draft in FFL history😂 (AintReba), or is their entire team hurt (BD)? We will see in the upcoming weeks if they “hate to lose”!
Let’s get to the recap!!
In our first cat fight of the season LO invited AintReba to Little Guys Movers stadium. Let’s see how that worked out…
Easy W for the league leader. 139-111. Not even 41 from CeeDee could slow down the small but mighty LO. Strong numbers up and down her roster, again. AintReba, as stated above, had 41 from CeeDee and not much else, except her Kicker, who is still the highest drafted K in history😂😂. LO gets ready for week 5 while our country crooner looks back and wonders “what if…”
Big Diesel has had a rough start to the season. Saquon, washed, JJeff out, Lad out. Tough luck in this violent sport. If only there was a way to improvise, adapt, overcome? Maybe Burrows 23 on the bench. Hubbard 25 watching from the sidelines. Judkins, 21, sipping on a Gatorade. Metcalf 16, doing jazzercise routines instead of playing. Maybe they might have helped?? This writer doesn’t do math but my guess is yes.
Side note- 54 point difference, so yes.
Yes, it was the Commish. And Tet went off for 45
Doing interviews is just part of running an FFL franchise. And looking sharp. The Cats find both easy, easy like a Sunday morning W over his rival Pigg 157-126. Pigg played well but KWIII 30 and KyWill 36 was just too much this week for our only team that has camouflage as their official colors.
And on MNF, the most heated of rivals and former friends and neighbors, Nizzle squared of with TBIAC at a private stadium buried below downtown Dallas. Why? Cause they can, that’s why. Nizzle has proclaimed himself the “Dominator” while the Capt is more a FFL ninja, quiet, sneaky and lethal. 2 positions made the difference this week. That’s how close it can be in a dogfight like this one! Kai kicked for 16 while Myers only booted 6. And the big one, the difference maker. PWash 2, Nico…30. Ballgame. 144-131. Another tight loss for Nizz who again, didn’t dominate, and another sneaky win from TomBradyIsACheater. Fun game to watch, and we all hope these two can mend the fences that have been bulldozed over in their friendship (DFUN knows all the terrible details if you want to DM him. He also has pictures!)
LO undefeated. TBIAC , Cats and DFUN 3-1. Nizz, Pigg and Reba at 1-3 and poor poor Diesel 0’fer. Now the funny lil quirk we see every season. Who are the FFL Gods favoring and who are they punishing? Nizz is second in points but has a losing record. Pigg is virtually tied in points with Cats and DFUN yet has one win. Shiva is clearly angry with them for some reason (praying to false FFL gods, no stuffed animal sacrifices, not paying their FFL dues)…who knows. And for poor Diesel., Shiva has just looked away from this abomination. A new coach is rumored to be in discussions with BD and their winless team.
So we will see who loves to win, who Shiva is favoring, and who HATES to lose. Many weeks to go and as usual more injuries, more waiver wire wonders and more wins and losses yet to come!!
