Week 7, or “ Fight me, see what happens“- Shoresy

Lots of FFL fistfights this week. The two Dallas juggernauts met up at Jerry World, Big D and the Cats squared off in a fantasy aerial dogfight, and then the Thursday Night games (the one no one cares about) found DFUN hosting AintReba and in the finale, Pigg v LO. Even these games didn’t dissapoint, for a change! Who got knocked out and who stood victorious in week 7 of This is Serious Business…

And just for fun…

And…

Back to the action…

LO hosted Pigg at the “It’s a small world” stadium this week. Both scored their highest totals of the season (maybe, not going back through their terrible stats to check). Skattebo and Ferguson led the way for our Northern friend but a -2 from the D really hurt his chances. LO got no love from Love, and Rico was not suave this Sunday. But JGibbs was. 36.9 points as you may have noticed from above. Game over 137-122, and small win for a small owner.

In the second of the TNF games DFUN got himself into a big scrap with AintReba. Reba hasn’t broke triple digits in a month or two and DFUN forgets he has a team. WOW, this should be fun to watch! Goff and Baker were terrible, Etienne and Chubb were worse. But DFUN had Justin’s 26 and DAdams 26. Reba fought back with 17 from the Philly D and 33 from DSmith. Buuuuuuttt, the little country crooner played Mike Evans, which would be good, if he had played. And Kittle scored a record zero points, and played the game. DFUN not to be outcoached, didn’t have a kicker. And still won. As noted, what a fun game to watch. Final score-ish… 103-98. The commish gets an interesting win.

In the first “real”game of the week, Big D welcomed his old work friend, the Cats, to the country club for some fisticuffs. This one came down to the wire! Rogers and Maye were equal. As were RBs and Flex. Both teams had huuuuuugggeeee Defensive games with 23 and 25. K went to the older contestant😂. As usual, the Cats TE had a season low 4 while TKraft dropped 16. JSN snagged 26 for the kittens. Ladd had 15 and the lead for Diesel with one game to go. MNF, Big D with the lead and Nico Collin’s, the Vats with Rashee Rice. Rashee 26. Nico 6. Cats sneak off the 18th hole with a 3 point upset. Diesel went to bed with an 78% chance of victory and woke up to an L. 133-130

And in the Main Event, both hailing from the mean streets of Highland Park, Nizz versus TBIAC. These two have been unbeatable for weeks, running to the top of the brackets in wins and points. And the showdown is today! JTaylor had another 3rd TDs but CMC countered. Hurts and Mahomie traded jabs. Achane uppercutted Breece and JChase right hooked JJeff 38-12. Amon gut punched Drake. But TBIAC was not going down to the mat just yet. McBride caught a huuuuge 29. But as the Nizz has done all season, he kept fighting. Waiver wire pickup Vidal and the Chi D finished the fight with a haymaker to the Capt’s noggin. Final 181-144. Tough week when the second highest score is the loser. These two left as friends and went down to lower Greenville for a nice Cosmo and a charcuterie board.

Week 7 in the books. Week 8 coming real soon. And don’t forget to play a kicker.

Week 6, or “You’re the worst player in our league. Great in the room, but you’re the worst player in our league) -Shoresy

We all have THAT player, mine is all 6 TE’s I’ve played. Great in the room, terrible on the field. Correction, all of us except for Nizz and TBIAC. But we push on, make moves and pray to Shiva to bring us out of fantasy hell. While the Dallas duo just puts their feet up on their giant mahogany desks and smokes the Red Auerbach victory cigar. But very week in FFL is a new week and a new chance. Let’s see what happened!

Well, I guess we have to talk about it. Some said it was impossible, others agreed. But, it has happened. Noooo, not AintReba losing 10 in a row. It’s Team Pigg with back to back wins. I went back and checked and it’s looks legit. 2 wins in a row! Big Diesel was more of a Tesla this week, only scoring 111. But Skattebo hammered and backflipped to 31pts and a 3 point victory for Pigg. Let’s see if Trey can keep the streak going!

153-93. Has Reba hit triple digits this year since Lamar went down and KingHenry has been dethroned ? And what a waste of a 153 point game😂😂😂

DFUN taking on Nizzle. Since the Commish refuses to trade, his depleted team goes down easily to Nizz, 151-106. Also, DFUN lost because Nizzle scored 153 freaking points, which may be his season average.

LO went to Highland Park to take on the FFL behemoth TBIAC. with those tiny fists flailing, smashing the Capt right in the shins, LO posted a 134 hard earned points. Good enough to win on any given Sunday. Except this Sunday. TBIAC continues to roll along, crushing his opponents and the hopes of all, except Nizzle. 173 points scored. Wow. Nothing left to say except bad luck for LO and good luck to the next victim of the Capt.

Soooooo, no change. Nizz and TBIAC win, the rest of us flounder about. Maybe next week, maybe. Week 7 has lots of byes and always lots of injuries. Check your roster and make sure to have a kicker (spoiler). And someone please check on AintReba, like a FFL welfare check. DFUN said, “I’ve never seen a worse team than hers, even some of Steph’s teams weren’t this bad”. Tough words from the Commish. He also mentioned some kinda investigation in 2 certain teams for nefarious doings. You can guess who…

Week 5, or “The big boys muscling you out of the trough again?”- Shoresy

The Big Boys. We have noticed a trend lately. 2 Big City Bullies have been running roughshod over our league. The show up to one draft, eat all the food, draft perfect teams then sit in the fancy houses in their fancy neighborhoods and gorge on inferior fantasy squads. Nizzle and TBIAC have definitely pushed the rest from the trough, for now. FFL is a long season, many twists and turns. But through 5 games…. It’s been Pigg Suuuuueeeyyyy!

Let’s get to it…

Well, I guess we have to talk about it. The Basement Bowl. We were all planning on seeing this in week 18 for the right to house the Sacko in their home for a full year (or multiple years for these two😂). Trey came out on fire and Reba gave up immediately only scoring 91, which is better than her previous 75. But a loss is a loss and Pigg takes home the victory on the first of many meetings between these two mediocre teams.

DFUN tried to end his losing streak, mostly from missing half his team to injuries and yet STILL denying all trade efforts and sticking with his beleaguered team. Unfortunately he ran into the buzz saw named TBIAC. 158-124. Valiant effort, but the Capt, and Nizzle (more to come) seem invincible right now.

Big D visiting LO in the Danny Devito (short joke) Stadium. Both teams have had some ups and downs this season. But this one came down to the Def/ST. Diesel got 17 from the SF K Pineiro and 5 from, you guessed it, the SF Def. Steph countered with 5 from Elliot and a -4 from the vaunted SEA D. Game over 137-112.

In the game of the week the Cats hosted the agrarian football guru Nizzle. Tight game all Sunday. JTaylor 31, Egbuka 31. Amon 18, JSN 27. Cats go into MNF with an 11 point lead and only Kelce left to play. What could go wrong for the kittens? 4 catches for 25 yards by Kelce. Cats WIN! Nope. One of those was a TD. Kelce hits 11.3 points Cats lose (no one cares but Kelce ended the night with 7 for 51 and a TD. It’s called artistic license). Nizzle escapes 139-131 in one of his worst weeks (tough problem to have).

Here we are again, end of week 5. Nizzle has taken the dreaded #1 spot with the #1 points scored. This has always been the kiss of death on the playoffs. But, as discussed before, we are a long way from Playoffs? Playoffs? Keep your heads down, keep working and for the love of all that is holy, make a trade!

Week 4, or “I love that about FFL players. You all spend the week trying to kill each other, but there’s almost no carryover. Just a handshake and it’s done” – Laura Mohr, Shoresy’s gf

If anyone in the list below was on your team, congrats. You probably won. And if you had one or more on the second list, you definitely lost. If you have been paying attention, both lists change every week as do many of the players. It’s FFL, it’s unpredictable. How many players have you picked up as the hot waiver wire just to dump them the next week? How many draftees have you released just to watch them blow up? But after MNF we mourn our losses, celebrate our victories and thank the Gods of fake football we have the league we have. Enough of the sweet stuff, Pitter Patter lets get to week 4 recap!

The picture says it all. 75 points will get you a L and it did for lil AintReba. She has been real quite lately, maybe a welfare check is needed. Big Disel 124 and the W.

In another TBIAC drive by, the Cats were caught in the crossfire. 170-129. While 129 will usually get you a win, unlike 75, this one was never close. The Capt has come out on fire this season, we all need to hope he cools off. And some more sweet, Bryan the governor of TBIAC is also a new dad!!! Congrats on both your wins!

After breaking his undefeated streak, the former Champ (still doesn’t sound right), has gotten back to normal. This week losing 154 to 124. Same thought as above, but lil Steph went off like a tiny cyclone and that is hard to stop. DFUN is quickly falling behind in the arms race, but still leads the league in denying trade offers😂. LO is fighting to stay on the top 4.

Pigg was slayed on Week 4 by the Nizz this week 165-116, to keep him on the bottom of the dumpster fire of rankings, right next to AintReba. The Nizzle versus TBIAC showdown has been flexed to prime time as the two have absolutely dominated this season. God help us all.

Week 4 in the books. We know who’s on top, and bottom, leaving the rest to struggle in the middle. Time to make some changes, beware of the dreaded bye weeks, injuries and busts. Next week anything can happen (except AintReba winning). Just playing🤣 but not really

Week 3 or, “That’s absolutely what we should be doing. Run ’em up, and fill ’em in”- Shoresy

Week 3 is over. Wins, losses, sadness, joy…. The usual. As Shoresy said, run em up, aka outscored your opponent. Or fill em in, hockey talk for bringing the lumber. Some of our teams did one, the other or received one or the other. Overall a great week of fake football! More injuries, busts, waiver wire hero’s and more foosball to come. Enjoy the week 3 recap. Let’s get to it!

DFUN v Ceiling Cats

In this battle of old school foes, DFUN was projected to win and with the Cats QB and TE play (abysmal) so far this year, no one was surprised. Baker crushed Dak (WTF was the Cats coach thinking??) and Bucky trounced draft bust Chase Brown. Kyren and Bijan were even so the Cats were only down big. Then Ceedee hurt an ankle and we all held our breath, some fearing an injury, one FFL owner praying it was! It was! Cedee finished with a zero giving the Cats a glimmer of hope! So it’s close ballgame going into the 4th quarter. Malik versus JSN. Remember last week? Malik had 30 points and multiple TDs? Well…Russ was horrible and eventually benched. Malik grabbed 3 points worth of terrible passes, just 3. JSN finished of the Commish with 20 and the Cats defeat the oligarch and put an end to his win streak. Fill em in worked this week. Final 126-104

TBIAC v Pigg

As seen below (we have adjusted Def points) when your D scores 44 fn points, it’s over. Who cares what everyone else did! TBIAC definitely ran em up this week.

Nizz hosts Big D at the FarmersOnly.com field and agricultural center

Looked like a great game on paper. Then JTaylor rumbled for 32 and it was downhill from there for Big Diesel, who’s looking like this years best loser (every year has one, but it’s still early for the Cali-Kid). Add a 21 from the Nizzle K and 24 from TB Def and, yup, Diesel got run up. So far in this short season, Nizzle has run wild with an unstoppable Offense and a stout D. We can only hope some bad decisions will be made soon😂! Final score 151-120

Our first Catfight of the season Reba visits the Lilliputian Land of LO

This was the BEST game of the week, coming down to the MNF game. Both Little Women could win, or lose. For LO- JLove was bad in an even worse loss to CLE. JJacobs was fine with 12 and Philly realized AJBrown played for them and actually threw him the ball, 22. Puka did what Puka do, 22. And GB D, with Micah, 14. AintReba countered with Pollards 13, MEvans 13 and bad hammy, DSmith (forgot he was in the league) 20. Dicker the Kicker booted 12 and the Philly D 18. Tight game, lots of tiny fists being throw, but luckily their arms were too short to really connect. So here comes MNF… LO has the lead and JGibbs. Reba down, but has her dynamic duo,Lamar and KingHenry. Gibbs goes off for 26 and the lead. Henry fumbles away AintReba’s chances. Ooorrrrr did he? Well… he did. But Dan Campbell and his giant juevos went for it, as usual, and with the game all coming down to Detroit running out the clock, DMonty broke off huge run and instead off falling down to run clock, he scored! DET is is winning the game! But LO only has a small lead and Lamar has 1:49 left. Ball game. Lamar moves it down the field but doesn’t score. DET beats the Ravens, but who freaking cares. We are FFLers. LO loses 127-133 because DMonty scored and neither team had him rostered. Crazy ending, great game!! Words not usually associated with an AintReba contest🤣😂.

Week 4 is coming up fast! As usual, make the moves, make the trade, pray to the FFL Gods. And always remember, if you can’t run em up, fill em in. Wise words. Until next week,….

Week 2 or “You, you, you and you the most, you the second most, and you, your the most useless. Actually, it’s you the most and you the second most”-Shoresy (possibly the CeilinCats watching his roster)

Welcome to Week 2, where dreams begin to die, slowly, painfully and inevitably. Or not! Some teams are hot to start the season, most are meh, and then there is the bottom feeders. But there is plenty of time to chance your fate (hopefully). Burrow is out, Purdy is a maybe, JDan is banged up, Hurts can’t throw, AJones is done, and the Cowboys made Russ look like 26 year old Tom Brady! But new bodies take their place and the game rolls on. Just like in This Is Serious Business! Let’s get to it…

LO looking for her longest win streak in the modern era, 2 games. Cats looking to go undefeated despite barely scoring from the QB and TE positions. Burrow, as noted above, injured and scores 7. But Fields outdid him in this Sunday. Injured, 3 points. Gibbs went off while Jeanty looks like a bust. Puka ran all over the place with 27 and JSN tried to rally with 18., for the Cats. But Warren hauled in 11 while JJ McCarthy has made all Vikings worthless, Hockenson 2. Good play from both teams on ST/D. Final score 112-92. WINNING STREAK for LO and lots of soul searching for the Kitties.

Nizz vs AintReba in the CountyFair Bowl! These two country bumpkins squared off in the middle of a pasture, one driving his new tractor the other hanging off the plow disk humming a Shania tune. This battle turned quickly into a slaughter. For Nizz- 26, 12, 36, 10,16, 16. 11. JChase had no trouble without JoeCool pulling in the 36 (AintReba had 26 from Lamar, 18 from the resurgent Ertz and 16 by Etienne (who she should have traded, just sayin). But this week was over before it really even started. Final 169-111. AintReba goes to 0-2 as usual😂

Pigg at DFUN in the first Ffffaaaaaaaaammmmmiiiilllllyyyyy Fffffeeeeeuuudddddd of the year! Pigg had his best game of the year despite Jaylin Daniel’s coming up gimpy. Saquon ran for 17, THigg 14, Tyreek, 17 and THE BRANDON AUBREY with 30 freaking points!!! The Commish countered with 19 from Baker, 18 by Bucky, 20 actually caught passes by CeeDee and Malik tore up the Cowboys D with 9 catches for 167 yards and 2 TDs. That would be the difference in this domestic violence case. DFUN remains unlossed, 129-116. Pigg falls to 0-2, as usual.

TBIAC heads to the Country Club to duel, gentlemanly, with Big Diesel. Not much of a game. JCook 26, JWill 25, Deebo scampered for 17 and waiver wire hero TKraft 24 in BDs home stadium. DLondon failed with 5, Hampton failed harder with 3 and everyone else was pretty good for TBIAC. But pretty good doesn’t get it done this week. Final score 144-104. Diesel revenges a painful week one loss while the Capt heads back to the think tank and some soul searching.

Week 3 starts soon, so hit the waivers, make a trade, put in that rookie and let it ride! DFUN and LO are 2-0, Reba and Pigg are 0-2, and everyone else is middling. The next few weeks are when a few front runners start to distance themselves from the pack, be in that group, or start making space on the mantle for the most beautiful trophy in all FFL land, the Sacko! Good night and good luck!

Th weekly blog has finally been fixed (blame the. Mom ish, 5e so called computer expe4t, not this intrepid reporter!). http://www.seriousbusinessffl.com is the site.

Week 1, The Draft and Season 12 of Fake Football is finally here…or “This Team will never lose again”-Shoresy

Welcome back to This is Serious Business! A big season ahead for us all, and this time the commish actually collected money, so that’s different😂. Also something really different has already happened, EVERYONE was at the draft ready to build their next dynasty. The Yankee baller Pigg was not physically there but that was more due to passport issues and less foosball issues. 7 teams snuck past the security at the Oak Mont Country Club and raided the opulent mansion of Big Diesel (the wife is loaded) and went to FFL work. 33 second average pick time was AMAZING!! Great work Coaches! We could talk more, but as stated, everyone was there. This brings us to Week 1.

Week 1, the usual jitters, uncertainty (LO), bravado (AintReba) and joy of the beginning of 18 weeks of pure FFL has dropped. Lots of roster questions and spots to fill, injuries to happen, breakouts to breakout and others to fail. The journey lays before us and the evil reign of DFUN starts his first, only and last Championship Tour. Let’s see if maybe we can break a record and have two recorded trades this season, huh, maybe? The entire season lays ahead, remember it is a marathon not a sprint so stretch those hammies well and put on that cool headband (Nizz swears by his LuluLemon yoga pants) and let’s get to the recap!

DFUN v Big D

In a playoff rematch, these two heavy hitters came out swinging! Josh Allen led the way in another amazing game, 38pts. The Commish counter punched with Wilson and Lamb (minus all 3 drops) combined 40. The Cali boy showed some SF love and picked up Deebo, not this writers tiny kitten but the football player, and Deebo rewarded his loyalty with 22. Both teams had huuuuge DEF games, Den with 22 and SF, shocking, with 15. This slugfest came down to two things, the Commissioner’s TE Bowers, who continues to dominate the position, 15 points and Big D’s failure at RB. Walker III only 5 and a dissapointing day for Nico, only grabbing 5. Final score 147-128, DFUN continues the miracle run that AintReba dreams about!

AintReba v TBIAC

Seemed like a good game, from the early smack talk, but it wasn’t. Reba’s dynamic duo returned from last season to wreak havoc again, and they did. DHenry 29, and LJack 29. But the veteran ffl’er TBIAC didn’t panic, he just calmly had Mahomie toss 26 and CMC rumble for 23. McBride and Kittle were even at 12, but the Capt’s WR’s outran the country songstress’s team 34-23. Add to that an 9 point swing on special teams and this snorefest was OVER. 110-124. TBIAC moves on, AintReba will be feverishly churning her roster over the next few days. Same results different season!

Nizz v Laces Out

In the beatdown of the week, lil LO came out like an angry dwarf who’d been bowled all last season (she was) and put a tiny foot right on the throat of the Gentleman Farmer. JoeCool was bad but Harrison, TWarren, Puka, Jamir and JJacobs weren’t. Niz tried to keep pace with Kelce and Kamara gaining 25, but JChase was a no show and that’ll wrap up your week real quickly. LO piled on with 24 Special Teams points to Nizz’s 2. One happy little FFL coach, and another sent back to the farm to grow a better squad. 119-92 final

Ceiling Cats v Pigg

The native Texan Cats hosted our Northman Pigg at Denton Teachers Credit Union Stadium for a big time showdown to start the season. It was terrible, and boring. But mostly terrible. Nix was terrible, but JDaniels hit 20 for Pigg. Bijan outpaced Saquon, but AJones got 15 to Jeanty’s 12. JSN had a big 19 over Tee Higgs 6, and CBrown outran Tyreeks 8. 89-89 coming into the all important ST/D. Loop kicked 13 for the kittens, Aubrey crushed 11. Down to the Def…. Ariz planted 7 big ones on the terrible Saints and PIT, well, they got run over. Raaaaaawwwwwwwdddddgggggeeeerrrs tore them up for 4 TDs and a total of 0 points. This guy is still on waivers by the way. He won’t get hurt. Maybe. But back to the total, 109-100. Cats win in the worst game of the week! And Pigg lost the worst game of the week😂😂

The best draft ever is complete, Week 1 is in the books. 4 winners 4 losers, (like every week). Get to churning, researching and trading. Look out for injuries (spoiler- Kittle, Purdy, prob CMC, Ekeler, Worthy) and busts (Caleb, Bryce, and all Cowboys). Hope you all enjoyed the offseason, cause it’s over and we have begun THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS!!!

Week 10 or, “ Everybody’s playin through something here, bud. Ya gotta play through it. Ya gotta battle”-Shoresy

Lots of injuries and bye weeks, very little usefulness on the wire. But ya gotta battle through it bud! Some did, some did not. Some came out firing, some crept back in on the final two-minute drive. Either way, FFL is a marathon, not a sprint. Playoff seeding is being battled for and of course, the Sacko tourney is being set, some teams are all ready there! But at least no one has Daniel Jones starting (do they?). Let’s get to week 10 in This Is Serious Business….

AintReba won again. Scoring well below her 289 pt average (130) but still won. The Capt seems to have one FFL weak spot…AintReba. We will see more of these two later this season.

Are we really talking about this? 17 years as Commish of TISB and DFUN has never ventured into the Valhalla of the winners bracket. Is this the year? Fantrax said it is. FanTrax also said Pig had the #1 draft class. Time will tell, but this reporter (and degenerate, soon to be derelict gambler) knows where this weeks panhandling money is going… Vegas Baby!! Team Pig has no love for his sorta bro in law and showed it with a season high 104. But, as Pig’s season has gone, we know the outcome 122-104. Really….DFUN in the playoffs…PLAYOFFS??

Looks like the Nizz coach (brand new after last weeks firing) can start looking for an extended stay motel. 118-88 over Big Diesel. this game felt a lot like a certain “boxing” match that happened recently. One competitor fighting a muuuuuch inferior opponent and shocking the world by not throwing a single punch, letting the young internet star take the win. I’m not saying money was exchanged, or the FFL game was rigged… but I am.

And in the game of the Century (depends on who you are), the little LO’S came to PetSmart Stadium to fight her bitter rival, the Cats. While cruising in the Caribbean, LO dropped a 55 pt Thursday. No big deal, how many players did she have. One, Fuck. (Exact conversation had while drinking the fourth Rum punch by the Cats head Coach). How do recover from that? Ya gotta play through it bud!! Kyler kept up with Hurts, Conner beat AJones, Bijan exploded for 29, and Minny D sacked 21. But before MNF kickoff the Cats had changed the mountain to climb to a slightly less tall mountain to climb. Down 29 with the twin Ram WRs left to play. Halftime-Kupp 8, Puka 5. 3rd quarter over, Kupp 8, Puka 11. You can see how this is going! Puka scores, Kupp goes 7 catches for 90. 156-152 game over. The greatest comeback in alllll of FFL history, right before our eyes. We will all remember where we were that night. At least till next week.

Week 10 is done, recovery and celebrations are winding down as week 11 is coming at us like a fantasy freight train. Get some sleep, eat your vitamins and say your prayers BRUTHAs! This Is Serious Business!!!

Week 9 or”FFL managers take losing so personally. they don’t just accept blame for a loss, they claim it. They take that burden off of their teammates…but when they win, it’s never personal. They never take credit. They never say “I”. They share it.“- Nat from Shoresy.

Some eloquent words that ABSOLUTELY do not apply to any team in This is Serious Business! AintReba bought a full page ad in the Denton Record Chronicle posting her undefeatedness. Nizz fired another coach. DFUN has been heard talking about the playoffs. The Cats blame the FFL gods. LO blames herself and bad luck, as she should. Diesel got a tattoo of his roster on his entire back. TBIAC quietly high fived someone after a win. And Pigg, he went hunting, imagining each tiny baby deer was a FFL victory to bag. But, that is what we are. Devious, colluding, competitive governors of the football fantasy battleground. This is why TISB is the best league in the world! Or at least Texas….maybe North Texas. Probably the best in Denton? Maybe…..Lets rolllllll that beautiful bean footage…

153-63. The FanTrax #1 draft class has fallen short once again. That and TBIAC is on an absolute heater. That’s about all I got on this brutal beatdown.

This game was over at halftime! A revenge game for the Cats against the hated Dallas socialite. And the Cats were ready! Dobbins 24, Bijan 21, Kuuuuuuuup 21, and Garrett Wilson 30. Nizz fought back, weakly, with 4 from Chubb, 2 from the flash-in-a-pan Pitts, and 3 from the overrated rookie Harrison Jr. it was 124-63 with only DST left. Could Nizz shock the world?? No. 25-23 from the Def and K. Cats scratch out a much needed win while Nizz fired another coach (how many more coaches are there?)

In the game of the week, two playoff contenders and hated rivals faced off in Brown Town stadium in the heart of Lewisville. Both needing a win, neither able to absorb a loss, these two warriors went at each other from the opening kickoff! DFUN sent out Achane 32, JJeff 21, Amon 18, Kelce 22 and Nabers, despite Danny Dimes throwing the ball, 14. Big Diesel counterpunched with Walkers 13, Treek 16, Zay Flowers(?) 29, Devontae 22 and Mahomie finally scoring points with 24. This one came down to the DST as we’ve seen so many times this season. The Commish kicked 4 from Lutz and BD followed with 7. Then Diesel put out the Bal D and tackled 12 points. So it’s down to the LAC D to win or lose this epic battle. 24 huuuuuuuuge points later, the Commish was carried off the field in celebration while Big D sat slumped on the sidelines, sobbing and looking for property back in California where the government runs the FFL and allows only ties so no one’s feelings get hurt. FFL in Texas is brutal, like this loss.

Annnnnd in the Catfight of the week, AintReba hosted LO at the Broken Spoke Stadium. 125-106 final. Reba continues on her historic run. LO does what she does. Wins some, losses some. Good game from our tiny little ballers, and the absolute #1 meme of the week!!

Week 9 is complete. Painful losses, Big D, easy wins, TBIAC, and someone is still unlossed. Just a few weeks to make that push for playoff seating or to prepare for the gauntlet that is the Sacko Bowl. Three games, end of the season, players sitting out, players hurt, nothing to trade, nothing on waivers, it’s why it’s the most difficult trophy in the FFL to take home (unless your AintReba, then the Sacko just follows you home at the end of EVERY season. Do you want to go through that, or make the winners bracket? We will see who wants it , and who will go get it!!!

Week 8 or “It’s f*ckin FFL boys, you go till you can’t go no more!”-Shoresy

Short wrap up this week. The mounting losses for this brave fantasy journalist is taking its toll. More good play, more bad play and more dominance from Reba and TBIAC. Pigg is holding up the bottom of the standings quite well though😂 And the Cowboys (especially Jerry) suck. To be continued….

Despite 22 years of FFL failure, the Commish is quietly putting together a nice season. Boasting one of the best WR groups in the league definitely helps (JJeff, Amon, Nabers). While the Cats keep falling and rising and falling again. 143-127 W for DFUN. Good game, good win, painful loss.

106-94. Big D steals a W with the second lowest point total of the week. Must be nice!
TBIAC sneaks by LO 117- 110. Minny D with a -1 and KC D with 11 was the main story in this domestic conflict. Painful loss, another dub for the Captain.
A former champion took his best swing at a multi-time Sacko winner who just happens to be undefeated, still. What a game! Both went over their projections, by 27 and 33. JLove let Nizz down with only 5 but Pitts hade the game of his life with 25. AintReba countered with the dynamic duo, Lamar 24 and JCook 28 (you thought it would be King Henry didn’t ya). Monster game from both squads but only one team can win and it’s Reba, again,

Week 8 is wrapped. Same story as the previous weeks. AintReba and TBIAC on top, Pigg and now LO fighting for last and the rest fighting for the two playoff spots left. See ya next week and the Cowboys suck!
