Welcome to Week 2, where dreams begin to die, slowly, painfully and inevitably. Or not! Some teams are hot to start the season, most are meh, and then there is the bottom feeders. But there is plenty of time to chance your fate (hopefully). Burrow is out, Purdy is a maybe, JDan is banged up, Hurts can’t throw, AJones is done, and the Cowboys made Russ look like 26 year old Tom Brady! But new bodies take their place and the game rolls on. Just like in This Is Serious Business! Let’s get to it…

LO looking for her longest win streak in the modern era, 2 games. Cats looking to go undefeated despite barely scoring from the QB and TE positions. Burrow, as noted above, injured and scores 7. But Fields outdid him in this Sunday. Injured, 3 points. Gibbs went off while Jeanty looks like a bust. Puka ran all over the place with 27 and JSN tried to rally with 18., for the Cats. But Warren hauled in 11 while JJ McCarthy has made all Vikings worthless, Hockenson 2. Good play from both teams on ST/D. Final score 112-92. WINNING STREAK for LO and lots of soul searching for the Kitties.

Nizz vs AintReba in the CountyFair Bowl! These two country bumpkins squared off in the middle of a pasture, one driving his new tractor the other hanging off the plow disk humming a Shania tune. This battle turned quickly into a slaughter. For Nizz- 26, 12, 36, 10,16, 16. 11. JChase had no trouble without JoeCool pulling in the 36 (AintReba had 26 from Lamar, 18 from the resurgent Ertz and 16 by Etienne (who she should have traded, just sayin). But this week was over before it really even started. Final 169-111. AintReba goes to 0-2 as usual😂

Pigg at DFUN in the first Ffffaaaaaaaaammmmmiiiilllllyyyyy Fffffeeeeeuuudddddd of the year! Pigg had his best game of the year despite Jaylin Daniel’s coming up gimpy. Saquon ran for 17, THigg 14, Tyreek, 17 and THE BRANDON AUBREY with 30 freaking points!!! The Commish countered with 19 from Baker, 18 by Bucky, 20 actually caught passes by CeeDee and Malik tore up the Cowboys D with 9 catches for 167 yards and 2 TDs. That would be the difference in this domestic violence case. DFUN remains unlossed, 129-116. Pigg falls to 0-2, as usual.

TBIAC heads to the Country Club to duel, gentlemanly, with Big Diesel. Not much of a game. JCook 26, JWill 25, Deebo scampered for 17 and waiver wire hero TKraft 24 in BDs home stadium. DLondon failed with 5, Hampton failed harder with 3 and everyone else was pretty good for TBIAC. But pretty good doesn’t get it done this week. Final score 144-104. Diesel revenges a painful week one loss while the Capt heads back to the think tank and some soul searching.

Week 3 starts soon, so hit the waivers, make a trade, put in that rookie and let it ride! DFUN and LO are 2-0, Reba and Pigg are 0-2, and everyone else is middling. The next few weeks are when a few front runners start to distance themselves from the pack, be in that group, or start making space on the mantle for the most beautiful trophy in all FFL land, the Sacko! Good night and good luck!

Th weekly blog has finally been fixed (blame the. Mom ish, 5e so called computer expe4t, not this intrepid reporter!). http://www.seriousbusinessffl.com is the site.
